Tips to make Pumpkin Spice Granola

Pumpkin Spice Granola

Imagine a pumpkin spice granola that isn’t simply pumpkin spice, but also contains genuine pumpkin, is mildly sweet, has a cinnamon aroma, and is studded with crunchy nuts and seeds.

For steady blood sugar levels throughout the entire morning, we’ve produced precisely that and kept the sugar (from pure maple syrup) low.

Pumpkin Spice Granola

In order to make the pumpkin spice granola recipe delicately sweet while limiting the total sugars to just 7 grams per 13-cup serving, only a half cup of pure maple syrup is used.

When compared to store-bought granola, that’s pretty darn fantastic, plus you’ll save money by creating your own at home using items you probably already have in your pantry.

Once you start making your own Pumpkin Spice Granola, you’ll never go back. Granola produced at home is more affordable, more delicious, and healthier than store-bought granola. The nicest part about creating your own granola is that you can adjust the flavors to your preferences or what you already have on hand (check out my pecan and cranberry granola!).

Homemade granola may be created in countless different ways, and this recipe amplifies the fall season with pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, nuts, and pepitas for an extra crunch.

  • Cinnamon

  • Vanilla flavoring
  • A dash of salt
  • Dried cranberries are also good, as are raisins, dried apricots, or currants.

To Make Pumpkin Spice Granola

One of the easiest and most affordable things you can do is make your own granola at home. We simplify it even further by using only one bowl, and cleanup is made much simpler if you line your baking pans with parchment paper. Here is how to make some simple pumpkin granola:

Set the oven to 300 °F. 2 big rimmed baking sheets should be lined with parchment paper.

A big bowl should be filled with the following ingredients: oats, pecans, pumpkin seeds, maple syrup, oil, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla, and salt. To blend, thoroughly stir.

Spread an even layer of the granola mixture between the two baking sheets that have been preheated.

For 15 minutes, bake.

Bake the granola for a further 15 minutes, turning the top of the pan to bottom after 5 minutes, or until it is golden brown and somewhat crispy.

After turning off the oven, leave the door slightly ajar and wait for the granola to cool completely (approximately 45 minutes).

Remove the pans from the oven after Pumpkin Spice Granola has completely cooled, then toss in the dried cranberries.

You can make your own Pumpkin Spice Granola blend if you can’t locate any at the supermarket. Simply combine 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon, 2 teaspoons of ground ginger, 1-2 teaspoons of ground nutmeg, 1-1 teaspoon of ground cloves, and optionally 1/2 teaspoon of allspice.

For additional fall dishes like this pumpkin mousse and pumpkin pie muesli, you can double the batch and keep it on hand!

The pumpkin should be the sole component of the puree.

Arrangement

Although Pumpkin Spice Granola is frequently served with milk for breakfast, in my house, we prefer to use it as a topping for Greek yogurt or my ginger matcha smoothie bowl.

I frequently find myself grabbing a handful of granola as a snack.

Additionally, I enjoy making a double or triple batch of granola and giving it as a present.
